I went to Warsaw, Poland, in September 2013 to work at the Pharmaceutical Research Institute for almost 3 years as a PhD student in a European Marie Curie project (Initial Training Networks).
From the beginning of my stay in Poland I was helped by EURAXESS with lots of different issues, including searching for accommodation, registering in a district office, applying for the residence permit, visas to UK and Ireland to go for conferences, and even sometimes with paying electricity bills, which were in Polish.
I’m glad I used this opportunity to do my PhD in Poland because it helped me gain new experience in life and the status as a Marie Curie fellow will help me immensely in my future career. My stay in Poland was great filled with fun and exciting experience I will cherish for the rest of my life.
