"EURAXESS - Researchers in Motion" is a European network of 700 contact centres located in 43 countries providing free of charge tailored information and support to researchers, entrepreneurs and research performing organisations interested in connecting and collaborating in research projects. EURAXESS web portal offers job, funding and hosting opportunities, career development guidance and free research career supporting tools and much more.
EURAXESS Worldwide is a non-European arm of EURAXESS based in other locations worldwide: Africa, ASEAN (focusing on Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Vietnam), Australia and New Zealand, Latin America and the Caribbean (focusing on Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Mexico, and Colombia), China, India, Japan, Korea, and North America (USA and Canada).
The Worldwide team's mission is to bridge between Europe and the world to foster scientific collaboration to promote the European research and innovation market, its funding programmes and career opportunities. It offers a networking platform and reliable source of information to help talented international researchers explore and develop contacts with Europe. You can subscribe to EURAXESS Worlwide newsletter in each location to be regurarly informed about events, webinars and grant opportunities.
Launched in June 2024, an online source of comprehensive information on research career prospects and opportunities in Europe. This includes:
- Human Resources Strategy for Researchers,
- European pension fund (RESAVER),
- Research Career Observatory,
- Innovation Talent Platform,
- European Competence Framework for Researchers
Part of the EURAXESS network activities is funded under the European Union research and development framework programmes of the European Commission. Participation of the members in these projects serves to develop the network's activities towards the research community, facilitate cappacity building and enhance further collaborations.
Currently, a 3-year "ERA Talent project" (March 2023 - April 2026) engages 34 EURAXESS organisations across Europe. Its scope is to further intensify the services provided by the EURAXESS network, by reforming its structure and expanding its mandate to focus even more on professional development of research and innovation staff. This way the EURAXESS initiative will contribute to the European ERA Talent Platform to be lounched in 2024.
