Due to the growing numbers of COVID-19 cases, as of October 24th the Polish government has announced Poland a red zone with even more restrictions in force.
Face masks have to be worn in the whole country both in the open air as well as in shops, public transport etc. except for by children up to 4 years of age.
International travelsand crossing Polish borders:
The Polish borders have been open,however, many international connections (via airplane or train) have been suspended.
Visas to Poland:
it is recommended to check the information with the Polish embassies and consulates abroad as the services may differ from country to ocuntry.
Public offices function within a strict sanitary regime. So it is recommended to check their websites for more information. Some Voivode Offices (for residence permits) do not accept customer visits unless you have an appointment.
Universities, research institutes and schools mostly work remotely with some work duties carried out at their premises.
Means of public transport cannot be fully occupied. The number of allowed passangers is posted at the entrance to the bus or tram (50% of all seats or 30% of all spaces).
Restaurants and pubs have been closed for customers; only take-away sale is permitted.
Smaller shops will accept 5 customers per one check out counter. Big shopping centres accept 1 customer per 15 square metres. Between 10:00 am and 12:00 shopping can be done only by persons over 60 years of age.
Swimming pools, gyms and fitness centres are closed again.
